Freshmen Lecture for Winter Term 2023/24
I gave today’s welcome/example lecture for our Computer Science freshmen at Hamburg. The lecture topic was, traditionally, Petri Nets (in remembrance of Prof. Dr. Carl Adam Petri, a honorary professor at the University for Hamburg whose work had a big influence in Hamburg for quite some time). You can find the slides (in German) here (with overlays) and here (without overlays).
Since I didn’t have time to do the final, larger example (dining philosophers), here’s a short video (from a previous OE) where I explain that example. The password to access the video is “oe2021-dangeroustogoalone”.
